Lakeland Rural Electrification Association Ltd. is an amalgamation of five smaller REAs: Hilliard, Barich, Derwent, Martins and Lavoy. Together the boards of these REAs pooled their resources to build an Electrification Association capable of operating as a complete business - from energy procurement to maintaining and upgrading the wires and infrastructure. This was done to take advantage of the opportunities afforded to REAs since deregulation and to bring good value home to the member.

All REA member sites are now included on the Site Catalog. The catalog is a searchable online database including electrical as well as gas sites.
